13 Rio Grande Overlook
This 0.2-mile out-and-back trailvis near Terlingua, Texas. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 3 min to complete. This trail is great for walking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.
The Rio Grande Overlook is near the Rio Grande Village and Visitor Center.
Contrary to it’s name, you can’t actually see the waters of the Rio Grande from this overlook and scenic viewpoint.
There are no restrooms available at the overlook.
The Daniels’ Ranch picnic area, located on the west side of Rio Grande Village has shaded picnic tables and pit toilets, and is the trailhead for the Hot Springs Canyon trail.
